where did the time go?

Twenty years ago today I married my best friend.

It was eleven o’clock in the morning when the doors to the sanctuary opened and I looked down the aisle to see BrightSide waiting for me there.

My parents walked beside me as I moved to stand with my future husband.  My sister stood as my matron of honor and my brother as a groomsman, ready to witness our promise to love and cherish each other.  I look back now at the life we’ve built together and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

For better or worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

Marriage isn’t an easy endeavor, but a strong marriage is one of the greatest blessings in our lifetime.
