Throughout all of history boys and girls have been caught in this dance. There were probably cave moms who listened to their sons moan and groan about the cave girl across the way who was so mean to them.
Boys. And girls. And drama.
It’s the classic formula.
Kind of like riding a carousel, if you watch the scenery too closely you’ll get the spins. The key to surviving boys and girls is to unfocus your eyes and simply take it in. As far as I’m concerned it’s the only way to maintain my sanity.
She likes me. We’re going out.
She hates me. We broke up.
She’s so mean to me. She’s always yelling now.
She talks bad about me to all her friends. They all think I’m a jerk.
She keeps hitting me.
What do you mean, she might like me again? That doesn’t make any sense!
She keeps making fun of my hair.
I don’t like her any more.

Same stuff, different kids, hm?
