“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
– Albert Einstein
I know there are those who believe what you see is what you get. The world, as it is, simply is. Nothing more, nothing less.
But when I look around, I see wonder everywhere.
Warm, golden light piercing a cloud, splaying its fingers across the sky.
A child’s smile as he streaks across the yard on a warm spring day.
Shimmering light dancing across a lake, drawing designs in the ripples.
The soft scent of honeysuckle carried on an unexpected breeze.
When I choose to be still and listen to the world around me – truly listen, with more than just my ears – I hear the melody of the season. Bird chatter becomes music, thunder rumbles like distant drums.
I choose to see the miracles.
