“What is hope? Hope is wishing for a thing to come true; faith is believing that it will come true.”
– Norman Vincent Peale
Hope is universal. Its seed is planted in the very young and takes root as they grow. Wishing for a puppy, a bike, or a favorite pair of sneakers…it’s practically a rite of passage for children to dream big around their birthday or the holidays.
Kids wish for their deepest desires, and they often carry this pattern into adulthood. They become adults who hope – hope they’ll get that promotion, hope the house sells quickly, hope they’ll make enough to cover the new car they just bought.
But faith? Faith takes courage. Faith is truly believing in your dream. Taking that first step across a bridge into the unknown with the trust that your truth will be waiting for you on the other side.
We all hope. We all could use a little more faith.
