Share Your World #44

What was your favorite subject in school?

English.  Writing, reading, grammar…what’s not to love?

If you could have a servant come to your house every day for two hours, what would you have them do?

One hour would be basic chores and the other would be dinner prep.  If someone would come to the house and simply prep the meal – chop, marinate, measure, etc. – and set the ingredients in the fridge, cooking would be so much simpler.  (And probably more fun, too.)

Where did you live when you were in the third grade of school?  Is it the same place or town you live now?

I lived in New Jersey.  That was the first year my dad was stationed in Philadelphia, so I was beginning school again as the new kid in class.  I didn’t adjust to that move quite as well and called home every day at lunchtime, complaining of a tummy ache.  My teacher was remarkably patient.  That was about, oh, six moves ago or so.

In your opinion, list some places that are great for shopping?

I’m a fan of TJ Maxx, Zappos, the Under Armour outlet, Apple, and Amazon.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for having the weekend at the lake with my family.  There was peace and quiet and joy and laughter and even a squabble or two…but it was time away.

This week I’m looking forward to me time with my hairdresser.

  1. A lake weekend sounds like fun. I can appreciate time with the hairdresser. Some grocery stores are now doing the prep work to help out with meals.I like Zappos, too. Is that your Golden in the side bar? My favorite dog breed, had one for almost twelve years.

    • I love the lake, even in the off season. I’m just as happy watching the birds and water and fish while I write as I am juggling two kids and the water. 🙂 Hadn’t heard about grocery stores and prep work, though I do consider buying some items to cut down on prep time (veggies already diced, that sort of thing). I’m just betting we’d eat healthier if cooking dinner didn’t seem so daunting at the end of the day. Yep, that’s our Golden, Gracie. She’s a hoot and a handful but we love her to death!!
