gratitude: soft comforts

While I think I clean up okay I am, at heart, a comfort girl.

I can rock a dress with the best of them, but given my preference I’ll always choose jeans over pencil skirts.  Tees over blouses.  Boots over heels.  And don’t even get me started on yoga pants.

Nothing makes me feel at home like being completely comfortable in my skin, and that includes wearing things that make me feel good.  No, not just good.  Great.  Warmed to my core.  Like I’m cuddled up in a big hug.

No matter what I’m wearing, though, the very best comforts come at the end of the day.  When my obligations are finished and I’m in for the night, nothing feels quite as wonderful as soft pajamas with a cozy blanket draped over my lap.  Add a pair of fuzzy socks over lotioned feet and we’re talking heaven.

My post as part of Colline’s Gratitude Project.
