What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

Make cookies.  I can’t say I do this with any regularity – I have to be on a tear for chocolate chip to put in the effort.  But the ones you make from scratch always seem to taste better to me than the slice and bake.

What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?

Fiction.  Suspense.  But not mindless, slasher, who’s gonna kill the head cheerleader suspense.  I love psychological thriller books (and movies) with twists and turns.

How often do you people watch?

All. The. Time.  It’s one of my favorite ways to pass the time when I’m waiting on something.

What have you only recently formed an opinion about?

The importance of being able to sit still with uncomfortable feelings.  That doesn’t mean I’m good at it – far from it – but I’m working on it.

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week was a humdinger.  I was flying solo for a few days while BrightSide was on a business trip (Big Time Respect to single parents who juggle that schedule all the time) and it was…challenging.  Saturday was crammed end to end, but we got to see Bear’s school shine in the Science Olympiad competition and her percussion group perform beautifully that night.

This week I’m trying to get life on track before the kids go on spring break.  BrightSide’s got me reading a book about organization – I’ll let you know how that one goes.
