Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story.

No, I’m not a distance, well, anything.  I’ve always loved the sprints.  I used to run the 50- and 100-yard dash for my high school track team.  I handled social media for our church’s triathlon last summer.  That’s the closest I’ve ever come to participating in a distance event.

Name one thing not many people know about you.

Shoot, that’s hard since I’ve basically spread my life out on this blog & anything truly significant deserves more than a throwaway mention. So let’s go with this…my mom, bless her heart, never cooked a whole lot of veggies. Her go to was the bag of frozen mixed vegetables from the grocery store, and we were each allowed to pick two we didn’t want. I always sent lima beans and carrots down the disposal.

What is your favorite flower?

Daisies.  Simple, I know.  Some might even say boring, but they’ve always made me smile.

Things I want to have in my home (paintings, hot tubs, book cases, big screen tv etc)

Bookcases, in every room, with great books on all of them.  Plenty of art.  Some photography, some prints, some original paintings – as long as it’s captivating, I’d love to have it in my home.  And a beautiful sun room.  One that stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer, with comfortable chairs that are perfect for reading or writing.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week BrightSide and I had our monthly lunch date, including hot fudge sundae (for me, because he’s being good and I love hot fudge too much for words). On Friday I was able to visit the Conservator Center, a local rescue (for lack of a better word) for remarkable creatures like lions, wolves, foxes, and servals. It was so cool.  We’re definitely going back soon.

This week the kids are on spring break. We plan to do some relaxing at home & at the lake.  At least I plan to do some relaxing.  R-e-l-a-x-i-n-g.  Hallelujah.
