Share Your World 11/6/17

Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organized tour or take a cruise of your choice?

Setting aside the fact that you’d have to hold a gun to my head to get me on a cruise (and then follow me around with your mop and bucket)…I’d rather take the two week vacation with a tour.  Cruises are too much in-and-out of ports for me, so the timeline would be more relaxed.  If I had any self-discipline I’d say I’d rather do it on my own, but doing a tour would ensure I’d visit important sites and learn about the countries I’m visiting.

Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?

loved swinging as a kid.  Loved it!  I remember the wind in my face felt amazing, and I loved to let go at the top of the arc and fly through the air.  Sadly, this is one of those childhood joys turned sour because I actually feel nauseated just looking at a swing these days.  Something shifted in this gut of mine and it really (REALLY) doesn’t like swoopy feelings.

What is the most important thing that you ever learned? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school.)

To trust myself.  I used to shove stuff down and tell myself I was overreacting, but now I listen to my instincts.  When something feels not quite right or someone seems a little too aggressive/interested/intense…when the hairs on the back of my neck stand up…I listen.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

  1. Dear Cee:

Thank you for the Monday treat! You sent me to these two ports: TS

The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.
