So I’m not gonna say we have stinky dogs…but they are dogs. Who smell. Like dogs.
But dogs who’ve spent time at the kennel? Well, they’re a special combination of staleness along with some unidentifiable scent that comes from living 24 hours a day with who knows how many other dogs. It may be mysterious but it’s certainly distinctive, and they march that distinctive scent right back into my house.
Which means baths before the dogs come home from boarding are a godsend.
Kennel baths means my dogs come home fluffy and nice smelling. Yes, they shed like maniacs, but that’s a small price to pay for oh so pretty dogs.
Aw, yeah, super cute — clean fluff is totally worth the shedding! When it rains a lot, as is has been lately, Sadie smells ultra corn-chippy and dog-like and when the rain passes, it’s bath time!

Yes indeed, clean fluff is the best. We’re awfully corn-chippy around here, too, and they’re calling for rain through tomorrow. Ugh.
