If you could choose any person from history to be your imaginary friend, who would it be and why?
Off the top of my head? It may be an obvious answer but Mother Teresa. Being in the presence of someone who is pure love, down to her core, is a remarkable gift – even if it were only in my imagination.
60s, 70s, 80s, 90s: Which decade do you love the most and why?
The 90s. That was my decade for graduating from college, marrying BrightSide, striking out on our own, and getting our first dog. All especially wonderful things. Plus from those choices it’s the decade with the music I love best, so there’s that.
When you die, what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope people will say man, she had the biggest heart. She loved fiercely, freely, and without reservation.
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I sat on the screened in porch, coffee in hand, listening to the birds chirp their song high in the trees. I can glimpse a small part of the lake from there – just enough to remind myself that yes, I’m on the water and yes, there really is peace in the world.
