Which tastes better: black or green olives?

Definitely black olives. And I’m grateful to know there’s an actual difference and this isn’t all in my head.

What’s your favorite room in your home?

That’s a tough one. I love sitting at my kitchen table because that’s where I get to watch my birds in the backyard. But it’s not exactly the most comfortable chair, so if I’m looking to snuggle up then I prefer the family room’s comfy couch.

What fictional family would you be a member of?

Oh my gosh, all I can think about are the families I wouldn’t be a member of. The Brady Bunch – too saccharine sweet. The Crawleys from Downton Abbey – way too snooty. The Cleavers – just…bwahahahaha!!

I guess I’d have to say that family from Everybody Loves Raymond. Everyone brings the crazy, everyone finds the funny.

So the guy who owns the land behind our house has started clearing trees for pasture. I don’t know how I’ll feel about this once he’s done – for now there’s still plenty of leafage back there. So late last night we’re sitting on the couch while I finished out the blog when I cocked my head sideways, looked at BrightSide, and asked, “What’s that noise?” It was a peculiar, far off, hooo-ing type sound. He looked at me and replied, “Cows.” Oh my gosh, you guys, I can hear cows at my house. They’re making noise this morning so it’s an interesting development to say the least…
