We close early on days with a vowel in their name.
We close early on Thursdays so we can dance naked under the starry sky.
Can you put aside some Twizzlers, a bag of Ruffles, two frozen pizzas, and a bottle of wine? I can be there by five. “Sorry, we close early today.” What if it’s an emergency? “Nope. Still closing early.” Dammit.
Why is it only the places you really need to get into close early? The DMV, the license plate registration office, dentists, doctors, that place with the thing you really need to take to the staff party tomorrow…
Then there’s stuff you wish would close early –
And my brain just shut down.
Listen, here’s the thing. I wanted to nail this SoCS post, I really did, but my writing skills are simply not cooperating this evening. I can’t twist “we close early” into anything resembling a meaningful or funny conversation. I’d have been happy with either one! But here we are and so it goes.
Holy cow, I just realized the real irony here is that I’m closing this post early. Bwahahaha!!!
