What’s the most ironic thing you’ve ever witnessed?

My husband’s long-time girlfriend (ex, of course) caught my bouquet at our wedding. (Yep, BrightSide, I went there.)

Let’s talk turkey.  Pro or con?   If pro, which part do you enjoy most?  Is it for Thanksgiving (American Style any way) only?

I’m definitely pro turkey and ridiculously traditional about it to boot. I like mine roasted but – and this is a very important but – it must be pulled from the oven before the turkey dries out because few things are quite as sad as drowning turkey breast in gravy so you can choke it down over dinner.

If you’d like, share one thing you wish you’d said to someone else, but now you’ll never have the chance.

I wish I’d told my mom thank you. I mean, I told her thanks for being a great mom, but I never specifically said I get now what a colossal pain in the ass I was as a teen. Parenting teens is thankless and exhausting and ages you exponentially. I wish I’d told her all of that.

What odd smell do you really enjoy?

Murphy’s oil soap. I hate most cleaners – they’re abrasive and give me headaches if I smell the chemicals too long – but Murphy’s oil soap is somehow soothing. Don’t know if that falls under an odd smell but there it is.

Thankful November….share a story or time when someone did something really great for you.  Alternatively,  share your gratitude moments during this past week.

Is it weird that my mind’s gone completely blank? Because it’s late and I’m tired and I’ve got an early start tomorrow I’m gonna roll into gratitude moments for the week.

Phoebe and Mia are becoming good buddies. There’s snuggling and nuzzling and some hysterical play sessions between giant dog and teeny kitten.

I have an incredibly supportive family. I’ve kept a crazy schedule for the last month and these guys have been with me all the way, juggling pickup routines and making do for dinners. I’m grateful to have such a solid cheering section in my corner.

BrightSide went on a business trip and returned in one piece. The kids went on a youth trip and returned in one piece. It’s always good to have all the chicks back in the nest, safe and sound.
