“The only mystery in life is why the kamikaze pilots wore helmets.”
Proof of life! I AM ALIVE!! We made it to the other side where I’m surrounded by a sea of boxes and a cacophony of voices asking me which drawer something’s in.
It’s been a wild week indeed and at some point I’m sure I’ll blog about it, but for now I think I’ll just tumble into bed. Night-night!
Linda hosts One Liner Wednesday. Check out her blog to see who else is participating this week.
That’s good news. Sleep well.

Socks I’ve got, coffee pot I’ve got, I’m starting to run low on the coffee because I haven’t found the box with my backup stash. Another day or so and I’ll be heading off to buy a backup backup stash cuz caffeine.

You can live some place for twenty years, with things having always been in the same spot, and there will still always be someone hollering across the house wondering where something is kept.
Again, speaking from vast moving experience, you may have possibly used the packing up time to sort through things and get rid of stuff that had accumulated over the years. I’m kind of a fan of hitting that on both ends of the move. One way that works is that of course you unpack the totally necessary stuff first. If you’re kind of indecisive about where things go (or lazy, like me), not everything gets unpacked in the first days. Those boxes can linger, in closets, basements, storage areas, etc. The unpacked boxes then get targets drawn on them. If they can be ignored for months, how important are they? (Not talking about seasonal stuff like Christmas decorations.) Honestly, this is probably just my way of avoiding unpacking and trying to make it sound virtuous. But it is a thought.

It does sound virtuous but it’s still good advice. I’ll tell you, I’m thinking *hard* about the stuff I crated off to store at the hubby’s office while we were showing the house. If we didn’t need it for two whole months…that’s gonna need another good sorting. I’m all about the clean out this year!

I’ve been wondering about how you were doing. I’m happy to know that you’ve made it to the other side, so to speak. Good job, Laura.

Congratulations on a job well done and a journey complete. There’s always time to unpack. Count the noses. If you have the right number, go to bed.

Absolutely. All in? Animals accounted for? Have clothes for tomorrow? Done and done.
