What social stigma does society need to get over already?
The broad, sweeping answer is hating on people for who they are. Skin color or physical disability: if you wouldn’t be all, “geez, she’s such a bitch, she’s got an innie belly button” then hating someone for how they look is nonsense, too. LGBTQ: Did you have a crush on that cute boy in fourth grade? Well, if you knew at nine you were straight – knew deep in your bones without making a pro/con list to decide – then it should be simple to understand we’re ALL who we’re meant to be. Mental health: If a diabetic isn’t weak for taking insulin, why is a depressed person supposed to just snap out of that “funk”? If you go see a orthopedist when your shoulder hurts, why wouldn’t somebody see a specialist if their life hurts?
What was the last photo you took?
A pic of my son’s supply list for his trip next week because apparently I’m incapable of remembering the last three things he needs. Sheesh.
When was the last time you snooped and found something or found out something you wish you hadn’t?
Is it weird I have no idea how to answer this? I mean, I’m a parent. Of teens. In middle school. A good part of my job right now is snooping. Am I always thrilled by what I find out? Nope. Is it necessary? Yep.
What’s the most comfortable bed or chair you’ve ever slept in?
BrightSide and I went on vacation many moons ago at a Westin and their Heavenly mattress is, well, heavenly. We loved it so much that we bought one for home. Best decision ever.
Can being grateful change Your World?
Oh yes! Being grateful doesn’t mean it’s all dancing with singing woodland creatures, but it shifts my perspective in a way that lets me see everything else more clearly.

Excellent answers.
One of my favorite questions, “But have you tried gratitude?” 😛

“With some chips & guacamole?” Because everything’s better with guac. 😉

Ahhh, hotel beds are always the BEST! You are a genius for even thinking about buying one, lol, let alone going through with it. Good on you!

I don’t even remember how the idea came up. Probably my brilliant hubby — best souvenir ever! 😉

Thanks, Melanie. This parenting gig can be WHACK. I’m lucky that the hubby and I can tag in and out because sometimes there’s nothing to do but take a break from the crazy! 😆

You have a Westin Heavenly mattress? Am jealous. I agree with you that those are the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on. Never thought about getting one for us at home… 🤔

Okay, it is TOTALLY WORTH the investment. Funny thing – we bought ours and then about a month later our son showed up. We always laugh about how the universe knew that we’d *really* need good sleep when we had the chance. 🙂 Anyway, that was 14 years ago and ours is still awesome.

I always make a list before travel. If I don’t check it, I forget something.

Agreed. My list making skills are legendary in this house.

Oh yeh to these. Yes parenting is essentially tactical snooping.

It takes skills I didn’t know I’d need. Especially when I need to *know* the info but not *do anything* with the info.
