Is it better to suspect something (bad or hurtful) and not know or to have your worst fears confirmed by sure knowledge?

This one lands solidly in the world of It Depends. Got a hunch that the ladies brunch crowd is whispering about you? Eh. Suspicions will do. Think you might have spotted a snake under the dresser? HELL, no – nobody’s going nowhere until that situation’s handled.

What makes you laugh aloud? Crack up? Laugh until your sides split? When was the last time you had a great big belly laugh?

It’s typically a chain effect over next to nothing and usually happens in public. The last one happened at a restaurant on Sunday afternoon. Something made me giggle, and that made the kids laugh at my jiggling belly, which only made me laugh harder, which only made them laugh harder. Next thing you know I’ve got mascara running down my face and a kid who’s falling out of his chair from hysterics. And no, I’m not entertaining commentary on the jiggling belly thing, thanks.

Do you suppose Noah had woodpeckers in the ark? If he did, where did he keep them? Apologies to the Darwinians in the crowd…this is merely for fun, okay?

Sure, he had woodpeckers. He kept them right next to the termites and carpenter ants.

Why is “Charlie” short for “Charles” when they are the same number of letters?

Same reason Jack is short for John. Weird language quirkiness.

What happened in your world this past week that made you feel thankful, joyful or grateful?

Wine, coffee, and a really soft t-shirt dress from TJ Maxx.
