Are you more a thinker or a doer? (credit to Cyranny of Cyranny’s Cove for this one)
I guess it says something that I’ve been sitting here thinking about this question for a good while now…I’m struggling because sometimes I spend a lot of time in my feels so it seems like I’m more of a thinker, but the truth is when something bothers me the next thing that pops in my head is, “Okay, so what can we do about that?” Pretty sure that overall I land in the doer camp.
Why is beauty associated with mortality?
Huh? Okay, so I just popped over to read Melanie’s answer and it turns out she doesn’t get this question either so that was no help. Googling “beauty and mortality” didn’t clue me in either. Maybe one of you can give me a hint in the comments.
If everyone spoke their mind (told the literal truth), would this world be a better place?
I’m guessing this depends greatly on the audience. People fessing up about not actually liking their veggies probably won’t cause too much of a stir, but try telling the church ladies that we need more than mac & cheese, corn bread, and pigs in a blanket at the potluck and see what kind of hell breaks loose. Sheesh.
Can religious beliefs affect scientific thinking?
I believe strongly religious beliefs can affect scientific thinking but I don’t necessarily think they do.

BrightSide and I celebrated our twenty-fourth anniversary yesterday. Twenty-four freaking years – woo hoo! The kids weaseled their way into our dinner date so before we left I said there was one rule for anniversary dinner participation: no icky conversations. No discipline, no conflict resolution, no talk about what may or may not be “fair” in their eyes. Just Fun. And they more than rose to the occasion. Thanks, BrightSide, for two dozen years of true love with my best friend.

Lovely photos, and interesting answers. I might get to this this week but I’m not sure. Words aren’t overwhelming me these days.

Thanks Laura for Sharing Your World. I’m glad someone admitted they didn’t ‘get’ that mortality and beauty question. One participant cited Billy Joel’s (overplayed) song “Only the Good Die Young” in her answer, but I’m still confused. 🙂

“Only the good die young” popped into my head, too, but that still didn’t seem to apply. It was a challenging one for sure!

Thanks, Claudia. 🙂 You’re so right, this is a choice we make every single day. I like to say parenting isn’t for wusses, but neither is marriage! 😆
