Okay, seriously – is there anybody who didn’t read this week’s prompt and go to choo-choo train? Anyone?? I even read it in my head like okay, sweetums, here comes the choo choo train! And I didn’t even say that to my kids!

I will fight this off. I will resist.

Growing up I heard that saying “chew your food 100 times” and really took it to heart. That’s probably why I finish a meal last at every blessed gathering – no matter the occasion, no matter the guests’ ages, there I sit with half a plate while everyone else moves on to dessert. I’ve learned to ignore the weird looks as I chew steadily away. I like to think I’m savoring every last bite; I’m told I just take ridiculously small bites. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.

Or maybe I’m just particularly choosy. Yeah, I want that broccoli, but not really that gigantic stalk, but I do want some of the stalk, I’ll just cut it so it’s mostly leafy crown with just the right amount of stalk.

What? You mean you don’t pay that much attention to veggies you stab with a fork? Huh.

Okay, guys, this one is all over the freaking map. Phoebe’s done something weird to her shoulder or her leg and I’m totally distracted watching her limp around here. Gotta call it a wrap!

Linda hosts Stream of Consciousness Saturday. This week’s prompt is “chew/choo.” Use one or both, any way you’d like. Have fun!
