Are.you.serious. There’s an impeachment inquiry underway and Turkey invading Syria. Democratic candidates battling for the nomination and whatever the latest sex scandal is. But by all means let’s talk about how much Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex spends out of her own pocket to do her hair.
Doh.
Geez, guys. It’s never good once the indictments start dropping.
“I’m cool with that.” If you haven’t seen this clip then you really need to click play.
I’m just gonna leave this here and let everyone sit with it.
I can’t bear the AOC commentary. I’m still angry they got mad at Palin over the cost of her clothes. WTaF??? I was never going to vote for her, but I support a woman’s right to dress accordingly. It’s not like she was running for head of the PTA. It made me rage then, it makes me rage now, and I rage at the fact that I’ll no doubt have to rage again.

The raging seems unending, doesn’t it. Just the fact that we have whole freaking articles devoted to a public (female) figure’s fashion is absurd in the ultimate. Do I care if she wears pantsuits in every color of the rainbow? No, no I don’t. Sure, her hair looks fabulous, I don’t give a damn what she paid for that color. Can we talk about foreign policy now?

I totally missed the AOC story, but remember when they got on John Edwards (pre-sex scandal) about his $400 haircut. That Warren quip was the highlight of my week. lol.

L-O-V-E-D the Warren answer. Had me rolling with her comedic timing, and to come up with it on the fly?? Fabulous.
The cut thing gets me because damn, if we look ratty then they nail us for sloppy/don’t care enough to take care of ourselves; if we pay to be styled then we’re wasteful and flighty. And don’t even get me started on how women are charged triple for almost everything! UGH!

The AOC “news” story is the one that sent me over the edge this week. WTF! And I do like EW’s quick wit. She’s got a brain and knows how to use it. As for the old men doing wrong things… well, same as it ever was.

Same as it ever was is a perfect description. I enjoyed watching EW doing the town hall – she’s very good with people but doesn’t fluff her way through answers. And I REALLY love that they held an equality town hall in the first place – it was long overdue.

The hairdo story is astonishing. It’s been the line for the last few years. Just because you believe in saving the planet or helping the less well off or standing up against the privileged – you can’t then have a tv, or a night out or a new look. I notice they don’t try to argue the principles.

Oh no, they’re just trying to shift the narrative. And add fuel to the fire for their base that hates AOC on principle (“principle” being the GOP told them to).
