Had any good conversations with yourself lately? Did you listen to yourself? And how’d that work out for you? (Credit Allie Bean https://thespectacledbean)
Oh sure, I have good conversations with myself all the time. Talks like Okay, yeah, I’ve got ten minutes to make it to this meeting and sure, there’s a freaking TRACTOR puttering along five cars up, but we can do hard things. Even with only nine minutes to go. EVEN DRIVING SIX MILES AN HOUR. Damn.
I do a pretty good job listening to myself. Take today – I made it to my meeting with decent blood pressure and without driving like Mario Andretti once I turned off into the neighborhood.
What is gravity and how does it work?
Gravity is like that giant magnet from Roadrunner.
It sits at the center of the Earth – well, I guess it’s more like a thousand magnets at the planet’s core, arranged so the ends point outward in every direction – and their combined power sucks everything inward so it holds fast to the world’s surface.
Unless you mean gravity in the sense of solemnity and then it just means being über serious about stuff.
What is more real – Mind or Matter?
Mind wins when it comes to courage, talent, love, attitude, and pushing through the last four minutes on the elliptical.
Matter takes the day when it comes to icy roads, raging wildfires, flash floods, and bullets.
Should a vegetarian (or vegan) eat animal crackers?
It is absolutely none of my business what a vegetarian/vegan eats. I won’t start campaigning for animal cracker rights if they don’t give me trouble for eggs, cheese, and the occasional burger.
Name (describe) something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark and deserted wood or alley. Politicians are a given, so skip those please. Thanks!

I am so late. I’m trying to catch up. I’m deleting a lot of posts, but I could never intentionally pass up your SYW post. Good job!

Thanks Laura for Sharing Your World! There’s a club full of us who talk to ourselves. I think everyone is a member, at some point or other…and that tractor? The same one seems to be on the road, putterin’ along when I’m late to go somewhere important. My bad. 😛

The hubby says this wouldn’t happen if I’d just leave so I’m 10 minutes early. I think that just means I’d hit whatever traffic component is jamming up the works 10 minutes earlier. Posh.

I’m glad to know there’s another woman out there talking to herself! I like your definition of gravity. The Roadrunner always provides clarity better than any old textbook.

I imagine there are hordes of us out here, mumbling our way through the day. Whatever it takes, right? 😉

You are the Professor. That’s the single best gravity definition ever.

Some say professor. Others say make that science simple to the extreme so Laura gets it. Guess what wasn’t my strongest subject in school… 😆

I have the best conversations with myself. I listen well. Sometimes I answer myself as well.🌻

It’s often those conversations that keep me on track. I don’t even pay attention to the sideways glances anymore. 😉
