What’s your remedy for the Holiday blues?

Snuggling up with the fur babies is always a boost. Music, too – but not holiday music. If I’m trying to kick the holiday blues I’ll blast loud, fun, danceable tunes. Singing along at the top of my lungs is a bonus.

Your favorite beverage (if it differs) during the holiday season?  If it doesn’t differ, just answer the ‘what’s your favorite beverage” part.

I can’t really say my go-to drinks change this time of year, but I will say gem passed along a nifty little recipe for White Christmas Margaritas. Ask me again in January and I’ll let you know if I have a new favorite beverage.

This one has been asked before, but what’s your take on pumpkin spice?

I’m not a fan.

Is there is a person or god connected with your holiday?

Yes, there is. And I really like the way you asked this question.

  • Who are they and do you believe in them?  We celebrate Christmas, a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. Yes, I believe in Jesus and God and the tenets of the Christian faith.
  • If you do not believe in these people or gods, does the celebration/honoring of that being, bother you in any way (e.g., ignored, dismissed, angry, etc.)?  Tweaking this one slightly, several religions celebrate important holidays in November/December – Hanukkah, the Islamic holiday celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, and the Buddhists’ Day of Enlightenment, to name a few. It doesn’t bother me to see other people celebrating their faith, although people who aren’t Christian may feel differently about being immersed in such a Christmas-centered culture this time of year.
