It’s time to get a little ROWDY!!

Count this among the phrases you won’t hear me shouting at home, no sir, but at basketball games? There’s no room for blushing and bashful there.

I’ve been watching the kids play basketball for a while now. Bear’s the only one in it these days and we’ve reached the “blast rap music during warmups” stage. I kinda like it, to be honest. Not exactly sure what that says about me (though I’m certain my kids would say it definitely doesn’t make me cool).

I’m picky about my basketball rowdy though. Too little and I wonder why you bothered coming; too much and you register more obnoxious than spirited. Clearly I need to be elected the rowdy monitor for home games cuz some of these visiting fans? They gots to go.

Are you screaming at your kid? Oh, nope, my bad. You’re busy screaming instructions at every kid on the team. Friend, that’s not being rowdy, that’s being a coach’s nightmare. You’re definitely my nightmare anyway, so how ’bout you zip it with the “ALESIA, SHOOT FROM THE OUTSIDE, BABY. THE OUTSIDE!! Zee, you’ve gotta pass to the middle. Damn, girl, PASS THE BALL.” I’ll pass the ball alright, I’ll pass the ball right up your –

C’mon, you guys. Time to get a little rowdy.

Linda hosts Stream of Consciousness Saturday. This week’s prompt is “loud.” Find any word that means “loud,” and use it any way you’d like in your post. Enjoy!
