Is ‘hello’ enough for you these days? (credit to Rory –https://aguycalledbloke.blog/2019/12/29/is-hello-enough-for-you-these-days/ )
Hello is enough. A smile, a friendly-ish greeting as we pass in the doorway, I think that’s enough to lighten the air with a positive vibe.
Do you believe in Murphy? For those who aren’t familiar with Murphy, here’s a wee explanation: Murphy’s law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”.
I used to believe in Murphy’s Law, maybe back in my late teens or twenties, but I’m not really in that camp anymore. I’m more of an “Anything that can go right, wrong, or sideways will choose its own direction and we’ll just have to roll with it” kind of girl.
Does evil come from within? If so, why?
I’ve skipped this one four times over two days and still can’t figure out how to answer it. Sorry, gotta pass.
Are intelligent people more or less happy than others? What defines intelligence?
I believe intelligence is the ability to give thoughtful consideration to facts, relationships, and truths in search of a deeper understanding of the world around us. Intelligent people have the ability to engage vigorously in all manner of learning. I believe happiness has less to do with mental acuity and more to do with one’s ability to accept reality.
Please feel free to share a quote, photo or thought about gratitude.
It seems to me that gratitude is a practice. The more I consciously choose gratitude, the more I find things I’m grateful for. I should probably put this up somewhere so I can read it to myself when I get cranky.

Thanks Laura for Sharing Your World, despite the hiccup about evil. You’re not alone in finding that particular question too complex/odd/confusing to answer…at least one other has admitted she cannot answer it either. Cheers and I’m always going to associate “Murphy” and “Sod” together in future…

I also loved learning the sod saying! I suppose I’ll sound very continental when I drop that one at a dinner party. 😆😆

It is always better to be continental at a dinner party. And it is always worse to be incontinental at a dinner party. Hey who just wrote that ?

I like your answer on intelligence. I’ve enjoyed the way a couple of folks have answered that, but I think you nailed it, Laura.

Thank you, Dan. This week’s questions were trickier for me and I’ve been avoiding reading other answers before today so I wouldn’t get influenced. Looking forward to seeing them.

We often call it Sods Law. Son probably calls it ‘when Dad swears a lot’ law.
