Full disclosure: I skipped Melanie’s first Share Your World entry yesterday because it was entirely composed of quiz questions about St. Patrick’s Day and I figured you’d be bored reading “I have no idea” over and over. Lucky me, she posted a few other questions later in the day.
What harsh truths do you prefer to ignore?
How short our sweet fur babies’ lives are compared to our own. If I thought too much about losing another dog it would just make me terribly sad.
Is free will real or just an illusion?
I’d say it’s 99% real, 1% illusion.
What is the meaning of true love?
Being entirely at peace with yourself and finding someone who honors you exactly as you are.
Sparks from a Combustible Mind hosts Share Your World.
Thanks Laura for Sharing Your World! I’m very glad I offered that second set of questions for the more serious minded and non-trivia buffs in the crowd. 🙂 One of your photos brought some “Irish” mist to my eye though. That ‘snuggly’ looks a great deal like my dearly departed Huny. 😥

Isn’t it hard?? I grew up with a cat and never thought of myself as a dog person until the hubby was all *of course we’re getting a dog!* right after we were married. We lost her when the kids were super little — they had no idea why mommy was so so sad.

Speaking of harsh truths, first I slept through the cancelled SPDP, worse now that I am starting to wake up to a semi conscious state I am remembering I am going to miss green beer day because all the bars are closed for the drink in at the inn experience. I am going to go get that second cup of coffee and try to remember that I am not Irish and never celebrate SPD. On the bright side all of this reality both your’s and SPD has improved the quality of my adult beverage time later today. Because in the famous words of one of those old philosphers ‘I hate drinking without a reason, blah blah blah…’ So later lets all raise one to brief fur balls and to saint Irish inspiration. Now if I can just remember to get that second cup of coffee…

Well, if you forget that second cup of coffee then you can always make up for it with a second adult beverage this evening!

I like your definition of true love. Couldn’t agree more.
Also thanks for the shoutout on Twitter. The more the merrier when it comes to that social media. Well, at least when the merrier are merry.

I love your answer to true love. My pup is getting up there and beginning to show it. Not sure how I’ll deal with that – probably not gracefully.

I’ve not dealt with losing any of my pups gracefully. We do the best we can, I suppose.

That is a terribly hard truth. I push that one way to the back.

Isn’t it though? Every one of my losses has wrecked me. This one will be worse because these are the first dogs my kids have really grown to adore. SO not thinking about that.
