Current day interpretation, yes. I can never really decide what the founding fathers meant — did they use it in the general sense or were women not even a thought in a legal document at that time? That would be a fascinating question to ask!

How many times do you see the likes of Trump (HES not the only world leader) surrounded just by men of the same colour who just replicate everything about the leader. Diversity binned. It’s not as if this madness is producing great leadership or avoiding the same mistakes being made time and time again.

Honestly, I’ve stopped looking at the group shots because the number of times it’s overwhelmingly white and male was ratcheting up my blood pressure. Every once in a while they’d throw some white women in there and then I was equal parts torn with do you not know ANY people of color and WHAT SELF-RESPECTING WHITE WOMAN WOULD STAND IN THAT PHOTO??
It’s been quite a week. I’m working on building more self-care into my days. Hope you and your son are doing alright.
