It so does. Sadly the media tend to hammer the good and skip over the bad.

Michelle Obama is one of my favorite people. The reveal part is certainly true. But in my optimistic moments, I pray that being president will change 45. I pray for him to grow in wisdom and compassion. However unlikely that may be, I still pray. (Anything is Possible.)

Trump will never change. He’s pure evil.

JoAnna, that is truly optimistic of you. I may have felt it was possible, back in the beginning. Not likely, but possible in an outside possibility sort of way one hopes a lottery ticket could come through. I’m afraid I’ve shifted to the he’s shown me who he is, now I have to believe him mentality.

The lottery ticket hope is where I am too. Maybe my optimism is more theoretical, because I don’t buy lottery tickets. In other words, I wouldn’t bet any money on 45 changing for the better. It would surprise me.

Now there is a case of painful wisdom. Speaking from my own painful perspective. The memories of halcyon days…

Me too! If I’m not mistaken this came from her book Becoming, and the truth of it has never been more clear to me.
