What song always gets you out on the dance floor?
Anything with a strong beat. My favorites tend to shift with the times but nothing gets me moving like rhythm deep in my soul.
What’s your favorite sleeping position?
I’m definitely a side sleeper, typically on my left side facing the bedroom door. Even if I’m fighting off a nightmare and fall asleep on my back or stomach I always wake up on my side.
If you could snap your fingers and instantly make the world better, what would you do?
I would change every human’s heart so that it’s pure. Everything would be clearly seen – no ulterior motives or misguided intentions. People would understand each other for who they really are and want the best for humanity as a whole.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done, and why did you do it?
Scuba diving was pretty scary. So was the helicopter. The most panic inducing thing I’ve done, though, has to be a walk through a cave/tunnel. That pretty much involved an hour of self-talk to prevent hyperventilating or a panicky sprint to the end. And like most stuff I’ve done that’s supposed to be fun! and adventurous! I was modeling a “let’s try it” attitude for the kids.
Funny enough, my current parenting philosophy has to do with honoring your gut so today I’d be brave enough to say nope, that doesn’t feel okay to me, I’ll hold your stuff while you guys go.
Please feel free to share something uplifting from your life!
I made these Skillet Nachos last night and they were a huge hit. Food in general is pretty inspiring to me, and when I can find a one-skillet meal that everybody loves then we’ve hit the jackpot.

What a beautiful and brave Share Your World, Laura! Kudos for being brave and daring to set an example for your young people! That adds to my impression that you’re a great mom. That’s something to be very very proud of! Those nachos? Are now included in my own recipe file to try soon! Thanks! 😀

Oh good! I’m always glad to share a great recipe and this one really is. It was a delicious and filling meal for four on only a pound of ground beef. You can’t beat that.

Great answers. I always wanted to go up in a helicopter but never did. Love your snap.

The hubby loved the helicopter ride & would go again in a second. We’re cut from different cloth, that’s for sure.

It’s entirely possible there would be an endless supply of those nachos in that perfect world. 😆

I like that.

I do, too. In “Untamed” Glennon Doyle talks about teaching our kids that being brave doesn’t mean ignoring their instincts, it means honoring them. Even if it seems like disappointing other people. That changed me.

Love your answer to the snapping of fingers. If only it was that easy. 👍

Yes the helicopter would be a step too far for me, but you did them.
