More and more I’ve got something stuck in my brain. Ever since I read Linda’s prompt I cannot get this song out of my head and that’s a serious problem. I don’t even like disco and here it is, camping out in my brain like it’s got a right to stomp around in there and FOR THE LOVE OF PETE COULD SOMEONE SHUT THIS UP.
“more more more! how do you like it, how do you like it”
Medium well, thank you very much.
I’ve been working with the kids on scarcity theory. [Hang in there with me now.] I find that we all have a basic mindset developed from a lifetime of experiences: either that there is a scarcity of resources so you have to take all you can or that there’s an abundance so everyone will get what they need. I don’t want to say it’s carved in stone and it takes serious work to undo the affects from childhood, but not constantly needing and wanting more? Priceless.
I do feel like we can do some generalizations here though.
Things we absolutely do not need any more of: federal forces occupying American cities, people sending death threat DMs on twitter to people they disagree with (seriously, wtf), attendance required theme parties at the office, steamed cauliflower, or wool scarves/sweaters/socks.
But things we absolutely need more more more of? Progress, meaningful dialogue about #WhatMatters2020, good sleep, chocolate, puppies to love on, seventy degree sunshiny days, soft t-shirts, open-mindedness, personal growth, and nachos. Definitely nachos.
Linda hosts Stream of Consciousness Saturday. This week’s prompt is “more.” Start your post with the word “more.” Enjoy!
Excellent use of the prompt! I agree with everything with a couple of twists. If I’m gonna have chocolate, it has to be dark. If I’m gonna have more nachos, I gotta have more dip, or salsa, or guac. Cauliflower is good roasted or grilled. Buffalo cauliflower done right is the bomb.

I have to totally agree with what you believe we need in the more department. Progress, meaningful dialogue about #WhatMatters2020, good sleep, chocolate, puppies to love on, seventy degree sunshiny days, soft t-shirts, open-mindedness, personal growth, and nachos. Definitely nachos. As far as meaningful dialogue and open-mindedness about #WhatMatters2020 is concerned we all need to work more on those.

Every little bit is progress we can celebrate. I figure I’ll keep putting it out there and hopefully each time it’ll touch someone who needs to hear it.

Chocolate always, cauliflower only for my dog. If I am going to have anything that comes on a crust, it’s going to be a real flour, water, yeast (or flour, butter, water) crust. And I will not play that video. Thank you. So long for now.

Smart woman not to listen, it gets stuck for days and days. The cauliflower for your dog thing shocked me until I thought about the fact that Gracie would be thrilled with cauliflower. 😆

My yellow lab, Shasta, has a weight issue, so she gets some dry food with breakfast and dinner plus what I cook, usually chicken cooked in the instant pot for a couple of hours, then pureed bones and all with veggies, Rosemary, and rice or oatmeal.

Everything taste better with chocolate. More chocolate please.

Absolutely. We could probably achieve world peace with more chocolate.

I say yes to nachos and everything else on your more list.
I am on the fence with cauliflower….being a vegetarian. I have to say though I am always disappointed when I turn up at a restaurant and the only vegetarian option is a cauliflower steak….they are so so overrated. I don’t understand how they can be allowed on menus.

I’m trying to make sense of the phrase cauliflower steak but I’ve got nothing. Someone got me to try a pizza crust made of cauliflower (gluten sensitivity here) and it was eh. There are so many great vegetarian options out there, I don’t understand the restaurants either.

I agree with all! I do prefer my cauliflower parmesean encrusted and baked in the oven.

I haven’t had any in years. I used to choke them down drowned in ranch dip but I’ve decided I’m too old to eat veggies I despise when there are plenty of other choices out there. 😂

This is a great deal of faith to place in me & I’m honored. So you think I could run on a platform of justice & nachos? ‘Cause I’d totally do that.
