Where do you feel most at home?  Please be more specific than “at home, doh” please. It could be a room in your home, a person, a location…

At the risk of sounding boring it really is in my home. Comfy clothes, warm socks, curled up in the family room with the dogs and cat snoozing away. Running a close second to the family room are these overstuffed chairs in the basement – they’re tucked in a bay window that overlooks the backyard so I can watch the birds, squirrels, and an occasional groundhog. These spaces are where I feel most at home.

Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?

I’d definitely rather drive a car. I’ve gone horseback riding and always seem to forget between rides how uncomfortable it is. Yes, the horses are magnificent, but I’m always too hot and end up with a kinked back. As for riding bikes? Well, I haven’t voluntarily joined in on that particular folly since the nightmare on Martha’s Vineyard. Good times.

What song would you sing on “Karaoke Night” (if you were forced to do so)?

Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man.”

University or life experience, which do you feel best prepares you for life?

Probably life experience. I learned a lot in college but some of the most important lessons weren’t from my classes. Things like how to budget, building my credit rating, time management, how to shop and cook for myself, learning to mediate problems with roommates – all important skills for being a successful human being but not something you can only learn in college.

IT’S AN ATTITUDE – GRATITUDE!  (Participation Always Optional Of Course) What are you grateful for?

That we have enough food on the table and a roof over our heads.
