What is your favorite type of cookie (they’re called biscuits in Europe I believe)?

Present day it’s these absolutely fabulous gluten free chocolate chip cookies. Is it even possible to make gluten free cookies taste good? Apparently so because even the rest of my family loves these suckers. And yes, at the risk of sounding basic I’d say chocolate chip cookies are my favorite type.

If you could choose one age and remain that forever, what would it be and why?

I’ll pick forty. Old enough to know what’s worth fighting for and what to let go but before quite so many aches and pains showed up for the party.

Do you have a traditional drink during the holiday season?

I can’t say that I do. Maybe the closest thing to it is Rumchata – looks like eggnog but way tastier.

Are you able to still believe in holiday magic as you did when you were a child?

I won’t lie, 2020 has been challenging when it comes to holiday magic but I don’t think I’m alone in feeling that way. Generally speaking, I may be less childlike now but still manage to capture a certain magic during the holiday season. It takes a conscious effort – I have to work to transcend the stress of busy-ness but once I do there’s a lightness to December that’s beautiful.

The prompt is wide open today, for anything you care to share!

Today I’m grateful for Christmas cookie deliveries from my sister, homemade fudge, school vacation, bells on kittens, and a sweet pup who may be old but still tears hell bent across the yard after those pesky squirrels.
