I can’t remember where I read it – maybe Byron Katie? – but the advice was basically when you react strongly to someone it’s time to reflect on what they’re triggering in you.

In the broadest sense, yes. But I’ve found over the years when someone gets under my skin it’s usually because there’s something about them that pokes me where I haven’t done work. Like being irritated when someone spoke their mind but it turned out to be because I’d bitten my tongue all my life instead of speaking up.
