What is knowledge?
Information. It can be knowledge we learn in classes or books, or we can be talking about knowledge gained from life experiences. I think knowledge is at its most powerful when combined with wisdom.
How do you define consciousness (self awareness)?
Having an understanding of who we are and why we make the choices we do. Ironically, it’s also knowing that understanding is an ever-moving target.
Is it possible to prove that other people besides yourself have consciousness?
This one caused a weird tug-of-war in my brain. My first reaction was of course I can, it’s pretty obvious when you get to know someone. Then I realized well, maybe not, it’s not like you can ever really be inside someone else’s head. In the end I vote no. It’s possible to prove what that person allows you to see but ultimately they’re the only ones who know the truth.
Would you be able to tell if time had been altered in some way?
Wouldn’t it be fun to think I’m in tune enough to sense a disturbance in the universe? Sure, but I’d say it’s more likely the world keeps spinning and I just get folded into whatever timeline is happening.
Do you like potato chips (they’re called ‘crisps’ in Europe I believe)?
I sure do! Plain potato chips with a sour cream and onion dip are delicious but not anywhere close to my “okay to eat” list anymore. I’m also a big fan of Utz honey BBQ chips. Mmm.
On this side of the world it’s coming into Springtime. Celebrate Spring by sharing an image or anecdote that shares “Spring”! Alternatively, it’s coming into Autumn on the other side of the world. Please do the same for Autumn! Thanks!

Oh, knowledge is power indeed. I also believe that the combination of street smarts and book smarts works the best way possible. One thing is to know something and to be able to apply something in real world is a completely different thing.

Absolutely. People who only have book smarts tend to flounder a bit when it comes to making it in real life.

Thank you Laura for Sharing Your World! That dip sounds delicious, but like you, chips & dip are mostly off my menu. Your thoughts on the tough questions this week were very thoughtful and concise! And thank you sincerely for those beautiful photos! It’s Spring! Yay!!

So thrilled to be pulling my birks back out of the shoe basket again. I always seem to forget how comfortable they are over the winter.

Ah ha! That’s the problem with the world these days. We might have knowledge, but we’re lacking in wisdom. For me, it’s chips with blue cheese dip. Or, in desperate times, just chips.

Hmm, chips with blue cheese edit is a new one for me. I’ll have to give that a try!
