What was the last TV show you binge-watched? If you don’t watch TV (congratulations by the way) what’s the last thing you binged ON?
Parenthood on Hulu.
What’s your most prized possession and why?
This blog. Every time something popped in my head I’d think yeah, that’s special to me, but in the end it’s all stuff. My most prized possession is this collection of writing that I’ve poured my heart into over the years.
If you had the time and inclination, what would you volunteer for?
Wouldn’t it be awesome if time was a limitless resource? I’d spend mine at the animal shelter, helping with reading clubs for elementary school kids, running writer workshops for teens, supporting social justice organizations, coordinating housing insecure outreach, and establishing a reliable food bank that works with local schools.
Do you think that humans will ever be able to live together in harmony?
No. I can’t believe that’s my answer but there it is. Humans have lived on this planet for a really long time (see how I sidestepped that whole “how long have humans lived on earth?” debate) with never-ending conflict and strife. I’d like to believe we can get closer to a more harmonious existence but the reality is there will always be an element of evil fighting against a peaceful world.
Share something uplifting with everyone. It can be some writing or an image or photo you like! Thanks!

Thanks for Sharing Your World Laura! You have plenty to occupy your time in the volunteer field alone! So much to accomplish and good on you! It’s rare to find people who feel they have the time or who want to help out. I loved the quote too, how very appropriate! And I liked the idea of your blog being a prized possession too! What a great legacy if you share it with your children some day! Wonderful!

I asked myself what would crush me if I lost it (excluding my people, of course) and it really was this body of work. Which means I should probably look into a way to export and save it somehow…Maybe that’s my summer project.

When things free up with me I so want to volunteer more. Maybe a few days sleeping first. Then a few days binge watching Due South and the X Files and Gravity Falls.

I’m off to look up Due South and Gravity Falls now!

Oh my, your volunteering list would require so much energy – something I have not enough of these days. One of those disadvantages of aging, I know, but that does not make me dislike it less. Yay for you!

That is an excellent point. My list requires time AND energy as a limitless resource and (ahem) I can’t claim it. Maybe if I prioritize…or rotate…🤷🏻♀️

Binge watch – not quite binge. The Old Guard. Andy to River ‘You think he speaks Russian ?’ Often this is what I watch when I donate platelets every two weeks. A movie with a somewhat strange happy ending. Da !

You know I’ve never thought of my blog as a possession, but now that you mention it… what a great answer to the question. I like the Will Smith quote. Ties back into writing a blog.

Absolutely. You really do have to believe you can do this before it’s even a possibility.

Thanks, Sadje. Once people start moving about more freely I could actually do some of those… 🙂
