Do you believe in soul-mates? (my definition of ‘soul mate’ is the IDEAL partner romantically).
Wow, this one is tricky. If ideal means someone who drops into your lap ready-made to love you without ever making a mistake then no, I don’t believe that sort of soulmate exists. But if ideal means someone who meets you where you are and is willing to change and grow in your love then yes, absolutely.
What are three scents you like?
Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and bread (yes, even though I can’t eat them anymore), citrus, and red Twizzlers.
What are some things that you might be considered too old to do, but that you enjoy?
Huh. Turns out I can’t think of a single thing I’d be considered too old to do. That’s probably because I’m not out there skydiving and such, though.
What is one food you absolutely refuse to share?
I feel like this used to be more of a thing before kids because of modeling generosity and crap like that. I guess a good example — pre-covid, when we’d eat out in restaurants — would be when I ordered something. I’m technically capable of sharing but I ordered it because I wanted to eat it, dammit, so let’s just say my natural instinct wasn’t to push my plate toward someone else and say sure, we can split it!
Please feel free to share something positive! 🙂
The hubby brought me a gluten free eclair from the local bakery and it’s deliciousness.

So…did you share any of the eclairs with your hubby?! 😉

I did not! 😆😆 What’s funny is even if I try he adamantly insists he won’t “take food out of your mouth because there’s so little you can have.” Since he and the kids got gluten-y brownies and other goodies all weekend I didn’t even feel bad about it. 😉

That’s so sweet of your hubby. Since we changed our diet I’ve found it easier to not feel bad about not eating certain foods. Our bodies seem to just know what’s best for us don’t they?

They absolutely do. I thought my (healthy eating) friend was crazy when she said I’d start doing weird things like craving broccoli but darned if she wasn’t right!

That’s wonderful. It is amazing how diet can change and improve health. We’d be in a wonderful place if the world would adopt healthy eating.

Thanks, Laura for Sharing Your World! I’ve gotten some interesting answers to the food question. What a lovely thought on the soul mate question! I like your definition better actually, ‘someone who is willing to grow and change in your love…” That is beautiful! I’m envious of your éclair, wanna share? 😉 Hee hee. Have a wonderful peaceful week! 🙂
