What is the scariest game (board or on-line) you ever may have played?
Well, there was that one terrifying round of Monopoly that predicted bankruptcy and early death so…
No, I haven’t played a scary game. Are there scary games? And if there are, why on earth would anyone play them?
What’s just ‘over the rainbow’ for you?
I’m not really sure what that would look like for me. Writing and publishing a book? Getting back to playwriting? Keeping the blog and developing an outlet to advocate for social justice? Maybe I won’t know what’s over the rainbow for me until I get there.
Do you have to watch something upbeat after watching a suspense or horror movie so you can go to sleep?
I know my limits so I’ve been opting out of suspense and horror movies for a while now. If I come across something disturbing, though, I do like to distract myself before going to sleep. It can be scrolling twitter or playing umpteen rounds of solitaire — works every time.
Is there intent behind every action?
Absolutely. The only question is whether someone is fully aware of their intent.
Feel free to share some gratitude with folks today!
We refilled our bird feeders over the weekend. I’m not sure which is more fun, watching birds swoop in and out of the yard or watching Seven obsess over our visitors.

Thank you Laura for Sharing Your World! 🙂 Seven is such a gorgeous kitty! I’m sure his interest in all things avian is come by naturally! I had a doxie once who would try to catch birds, and finally she got one and tore it up. Bleah. I’d try to make sure when I put her out that no birds were around, and I noticed they gave our yard a wide berth after her attack. 😦 I agree with you about the horror films, and the last time i saw a good suspense one, I had to play endless rounds of solitaire just to get my mind off it! Have a fabulous week! 🙂

Thanks, Melanie, I hope you’re having a great week too. Seven is an indoor kitty but once in a while I’ll scoop him up and take him out while the dogs are peeing in the backyard. His nose twitches a mile a minute and he looks around like he can’t soak it all in fast enough. So fun!

I’ve opted out as well. The scariest thing I watch these days is watching my football team.

That sounds like a solid plan to me. 😉

I like your answer on intent. I never thought of it like that, but I think you’re right.

Thanks, Dan. It’s interesting — I think even people who work actively on self-awareness sometimes slip back into the fog. All of us are susceptible.

great answers and I cannot watch horror films without covering my eyes

Somewhere along the line I realized I was far too old to put up with terrifying in the interest of someone else’s “fun.” 🤷🏻♀️
