I’m inching my way back to the land of the living! Concentration can still be hard, though, so I’m grateful Melanie’s offered up questions to lead the way…
Who do you think is an example of a successful person?
Someone who finds their calling in life. Some people are lucky enough to make a living at it; others make space in their off hours.
Why are you doing what you’re currently doing? (Take this in any context you like, either as a “what you’re doing RIGHT NOW THIS SECOND” or “what you’re doing in your life at this point” or any other way that occurs to you. The question is a bit ambiguous.)
I’m blogging in an orthodontist’s waiting area because a) I’m out of isolation and was able to bring my kiddo to their appointment, b) I’ve been trying to ease back into blogging, and c) it makes the time go faster.
What is your personal theme song?
Right now? “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child. Bless.
What do you think about tofu?
I held a pretty strong anti-tofu position for decades then felt meh, whatever about it for another few years. But when a doctor urged me to try primarily eating fish/vegetarian with the occasional chicken I was looking for another source of protein. Turns out if prepared and spiced well tofu can be pretty darn tasty.
Where did you find bliss this past week?
The kitties took very good care of me while I was sick. Even on my icky days there was something about a cat tucked in behind my knees or curled up on my lap that lifted my spirits.

Thank you, beth. I knew I was sick when I didn’t even think about blogging for a solid week then spent another few days accepting I couldn’t concentrate long enough to put together a coherent post. 😆

Thank you for Sharing Your World Laura! I’m glad to hear you’re on the mend. It was Covid?
I’m so sorry, but the fur kids are the best medicine for what ails ya, whatever it might be. How frightening for you too though. The emotional response to hearing I was positive just might be the last straw and be the thing that finally kills me off. I’m glad you’re putting it behind you, but be vigilant and stay well! Great answers to the questions and you’re one of two bloggers who admitted to enjoying tofu. I’ve heard that prepared properly (and seasoned properly) it is good and blends with EVERYTHING. A wonder food even if it is processed. I don’t think eating raw bean curd sounds at all appealing as I don’t even like bean sprouts. Take care and again I’m glad you’re on the mend!

Thanks, Melanie. It was covid and the only thing worse than spending nine hours in the ER was learning my daughter was also positive earlier that day. 😐 Cases are growing here and this spell has definitely put me back into hyper alert status — do I really need to pick out my own apples? No. No, curbside will work just fine.

Welcome back! “a cat tucked in behind my knees or curled up on my lap that lifted my spirits” – they are very good at that, aren’t they?
