12-17-2021 Cyranny “What’s the worst day of the week for you?” Why?
At the risk of sounding [I’m not really sure what word belongs here] I’m a SAHM so days can have a disturbingly indistinguishable quality, especially now that we’re in pandemic times. If I had to pick one, though, it would be Sunday night since that’s when I look at the week ahead to wrap my brain around the calendar and sort out any schedule conflicts.
1-3-2022 Mrs. A (Jazzocracy) Mrs A proposes a question for a future SYW. “Would you ever consider posing naked or semi-naked for the camera or a live audience (acting in a play)?”
Probably not since the question alone makes my brow furrow with an ummm, I just don’t think I can pull that off.
1-10-2022 Di With the recent energy crisis here in the UK, would you prefer electric, gas, oil or some other means of heating your home?
I can’t speak to this as someone in the UK but I don’t know that I have a preference for how we heat our home. I do miss our gas stove, though. Cooking on that was a dream.
1-10-2022 Marilyn When this pops up later tonight, I MIGHT have thought of a few questions. Like: In your household, who takes care of the bills, taxes, and other financial stuff? Is one person responsible or is it a shared chore? And this has made me notice that my phone is missing. Oops.
My husband handles the finances in our household. It’s kind of a no brainer seeing as he’s a financial advisor. Plus, if I’m being brutally honest, numbers don’t come naturally to me so instead of struggling to do a good job I appreciate the hubby’s expertise.
1-10-2022 Yinglan Not sure if this question was asked before. It’s a bit of a silly one: If you can have any one job (real or fiction) in the galaxy (yes, the galaxy, I’m widening the search radius, imagining relocation to other planets possible), what is that job?
Equity Champion. As we work to make our own world a better place and perhaps move out into the galaxy I’d like to work towards a more equitable existence for everyone.
Who are you grateful for?
My husband, these kiddos, some truly fabulous siblings, and — speaking as someone who doesn’t have a lot of close friends — a few people who are ride or die. I feel pretty lucky.

Thanks for Sharing Your World, Laura! I’m glad to presume you’re feeling better? I hope so! Doing schedule planning is a lot of work, and those who do it should get paid. Handsomely. There are very few women who would bare it all. A few of us would do it if the price were right though 😄 I heard a saying once that said “why buy a guard dog and bark yourself?” so utilizing an available resource in the form of your husband is a great idea! Not everyone (me among them) is blessed with an analytical brain like that. I hope you are well again or improving daily and that you have a wonderful week!

Thanks, Melanie. I think the hubby summed it up well when he said it’s hard for me to see a difference from day to day but week to week or month to month gives me better perspective. I’m doing much better than last month so…yay.
The feminist in me cringed a bit typing “my husband handles our finances” because yikes, that sounds terrible. I came to the conclusion, though, that just because I *could* do something doesn’t mean I *need* to. It comes easier to him so there it is; I choose to ignore the 1950s vibe. 😆
