Senator Booker’s entire speech gave me chills and brought me to tears. No one should be required to be demeaned and dishonored the way Ketanji Brown Jackson was. She will persevere and we will be better for it. The words of the beloved Maya Angelou live on!

watching him speak to her on that day, I cried and smiled and felt it was one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard in my life. it is horrible what she had to endure from so many of the others

It surely is. It’s hard for me to imagine how many times she’s had to endure lesser qualified people doubting her highly qualified abilities or the perseverance it took to push through. So glad I’m here to witness this moment.
