Do You Prefer Salty Foods or Sweet Foods?
Did anyone choose just one? I’d say I’m 70% salty, 30% sweet these days.
Would you rather be in a place where it is excessively hot or excessively cold?
Listen, anyone who knows me well knows I’d be seriously crabby in either situation but if this is a “lesser of two evils” thing I’ll say excessively cold. I’ve been in excessively hot places and bad things tend to happen.
Favorite Mode of long distance travel (Bus, Plane, Train, Automobile, or other).
It’s been eons since I traveled long distance but I can for sure say it isn’t bus. Took one from Boston to Virginia once and even as a youngster that was rough. This one’s a toss up between plane and car. I like the decreased travel time of planes but then you have to deal with, well, other people. In a car you choose the music, the temperature, how often you stop but after a couple of hours I get pretty squirrelly.
What was your favorite holiday growing up? (You can also use American holidays or appropriate holidays from your country)
Definitely Christmas. Sure, presents were exciting, but my best memories involve the cookies.
What gave you the most gratification this past week?
Was it rescuing the cats from a bee that got trapped in our house? Getting the wifi restored? Or maybe the fact I managed to make an actual dinner last night? All satisfying in their own way.

Great answers. Bus is low on my list as well. If I do get to travel, car or train would be my pick.

I’ve never done a long distance trip on a train and wonder if that might be the solution. You can get up and wander around to stretch your legs but it seems like you’d be less on top of strangers like you are in a plane. Maybe I’ll give that one a try!

Ziggy is deathly afraid of flies, and bees, and anything that makes some sort of buzzing noise that he can’t identify. So imagine the scene when one night a couple of weeks ago (it wasn’t warm enough either, I have no idea where they all came from), we were watching TV and got dive-bombed by first a HUGE black bumblebee. I’ve never seen one at all, let alone up in this place. Second air deployment an annoying fly and third..brrr I don’t want to think about what that might have been because it looked like an aerial spider! (just kill me now if those things are FLYING). Great answers Laura! 🙂

To be fair I went to Whistler for vacation once and it was MISERABLY cold. But considering I suffered heat stroke in Puerto Rico I think I’m still safer in the cold.
