1. I get it. Lots of people love baseball, it’s our nation’s pastime, peanuts and cracker jacks and all that jazz.
2. I’ve just never really been one of those people.
3. This game is slow. REALLY slow. Like turtles drag racing slow.
4. I don’t need NASCAR paced excitement but any game where you can wander out, stand in line for the ladies’ room, then buy concessions and still make it back before inning change is reeaaallllyyy slow.
4. Plus those innings last an indeterminate amount of time. Sure, you know they’ll switch places once they get three outs but there’s no way to know with certainty how long that will take.
5. Which is how we end up with some ball games over in an hour while others linger on towards the four hour mark. I just don’t do well with that sort of unpredictability.
6. AND HOW’S A GIRL SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT TO WEAR FOR THAT MESS? I’m just saying.
7. But yesterday was a mix of warm weather — a little too warm, but it’s North Carolina, if it’s not December/January it’s “too warm” — a light breeze, and blue skies.
8. Plus I’d inched into vampire tendencies with my daytime activity so it was good to get out of the house.
9. Pro tip: Sitting in foul ball territory provides powerful incentive to pay attention for each and every at bat. Just saying.
10. Sure, I ended up kind of sweaty but I also soaked up some of that Vitamin D. We’ll call it a win.
NASCAR excitement ? ! turn left………….. turn left……… turn left……… at least the turtles know to go find a log and soak up the sun. Ah one turtle’s er person’s excitement…

AGREE. We went to a race track once and I could not get it. People there were pumped up and all I could think was…I’m losing hearing sitting here. 🤷🏻♀️

So what can be better. Soaking up plenty of vitamin D, enjoying a warm breezy day, experiencing the excitement of a potential foul ball…and not having to worry about what to wear. All at a leisurely pace. Seems like not only a win but a “win win”.

So very true. Pretty sure I could use a double dose of Vitamin D these days.

I still like going to the ballpark at least once a season. It’s.a slow game, but there’s beer.

I was once stuck at a game that lasted for 13 innings due to a tie!

13 innings! WHAT?!
I was overjoyed when the hubby told me they only play 7 innings at the high school level. 🤣

In my youth, going to a Dodger game was fun. Now, not only do I not like to sit on those awful seats, but I can do without any sports in my life. LOL

😂 With high school teens I can’t seem to avoid the sports. I guess this is a bonus — it was held at a local park so we brought our own chairs. No hard bleachers without any back support — yay.

I remember the days attending high school games every week. My daughter was in band then tall flags.
