What is one topic you really like to talk about? Or something you really want to tell people?
Brussels sprouts.
No, not really, but I do take an inordinate amount of pleasure in talking food. Dishes, recipes, tips and tricks in the kitchen — fun stuff.
What do you normally never tell strangers about yourself? (be general, I don’t need to know details or invade privacy)
Most likely that I’m quietly whispering We Can Do Hard Things while boarding a crowded elevator or heading to that business meeting or getting together for drinks and/or dinner.
Have you ever broken anything? (can be health related, emotion related, or situation related – you define “broken anything” for your own satisfaction)
I’m astounded that I’ve voluntarily had two separate bones broken for two separate surgeries but somehow managed to avoid the dreaded six-weeks-in-a-summertime-cast accident for the first half of my life.
Is having a big ego a negative trait or positive trait?
People with big egos tend to think a lot of themselves and what they can do — a perspective like that can be used for both good and evil. We just hope there are more of the former.
What aspects of your city or neighborhood are you grateful for?
Generally speaking it’s quieter, slower paced, and has more than its fair share of beautiful scenery. I also love we’re thirty minutes from larger venues that offer theatre, music, and sports.

Thanks Laura for Sharing Your World! You mean to say that EVERYBODY doesn’t talk to themselves discreetly when faced with crowds? 😄 I certainly do for one! Coping with stress before it gets out of hand is the best way of being thought of as totally cray-cray IMO. Food is a GREAT topic, and one that I enjoy too. The big ego thing is sort of beyond my comprehension, but I was raised up to believe in humility and that being overly prideful would bring about bad things for me. It’s very sad that more politicians weren’t raised the same way. A pity. Owwie on the bone breakage, but I have a cousin who had her pelvis deliberately broken to fix an underlying genetic problem in the family. Have a great week!

That pelvis break tops my foot & jaw break, no doubt. Made me cringe a little just thinking of it.

sounds like you live in a great locale, and I get the talking yourself up to enter into whatever activity isn’t your favorite, I do the same

I think so, mostly. Small towns bring quiet but mine also brings a limited mindset that is dangerous for my kiddos. 😒
