Get back on the horse, they said. It’s the key to success.
Don’t know about the success thing, but it sure is key to being a writer. Pen to paper, keyboard to screen, all that jazz. You have to write to be a writer and that’s all there is to that.
Is it messy sometimes? Sure it is. Sometimes it’s a train wreck or a volcanic eruption or that freaking girl from that freaking movie puking pea soup everywhere because she’s possessed. But sometimes it’s beautiful or moving or cathartic.
Bummer is you don’t know what’s what until you’re done. How ya liking your pea soup now?
Linda hosts Stream of Consciousness Saturdays. This week’s prompt is “key.” Use it as a noun, a verb, or use it metaphorically. Have fun!
Was it Aristotle? We are what we repeatedly do. Your post is a valuable reminder to keep at it. Thanks, Laura!

Only been on one horse. Yes I fell off and then it started to eat my T-shirt when I tried to get back on. Ever trued ever again but I do like pea soup 🤣
