Which of the following could you do without? TV, Computer, Mobile Phone.
That’s a harsh question for me but of these three I’d have to say TV.
Do you have a lot of old photographs in a box, or did you put them in albums?
I’m a hybrid — I grew up on film so I fondly remember picking up an envelope of freshly developed photos and rushing home to shuffle through it looking for winners. Many of those photos did indeed end up in shoeboxes. These days my shoeboxes look like endless digital albums containing a multitude of photos. Same concept, different format.
What was the first thing you bought for yourself when you started work?
A Miata. I graduated college with a stellar credit rating and I chose car joy.
What is the biggest thing you have bought that did not require finance?
Sorry, guys, my brain’s completely frozen on this one. Instead let’s talk a few expenses that feel like they should require financing:
- back to school supplies, pre-K through post-secondary education
- shoe shopping after the second growth spurt in a year
- dental cleanings x4
- curly hair product for a high humidity environment
Gratitude:
Hanging out with good friends, glorious pizza and delicious gelato, spunky Seven’s tag game with the bugs, Mia’s adorable face all scrunched up in sleep, our two largest fur babies asking for snuggles, and generally feeling seen.
Di from Pensivity 101 is standing in to host Share Your World this week.
I so want to play that spunky sevens tag game now.

He should have to carry around a “play at your own risk” warning sign. Seven’s loads of playful fun until he takes a sudden turn toward hunting instinct triggered and then he’ll chomp down hard. 🤦🏽♀️

Your gratitude choices are wonderful. I like your answers to the questions, but being mindful of the small good stuff is nice to read about.

Love your gratitude response Laura. Dental cleaning is too expensive! And I just got an email from my bank about getting school supplies on easy installments 😅

Easy installments!! 🤣 And I only have two. Cannot imagine the hit families with 4+ kids take.
