Are you an early riser or late starter to the day?
I’m definitely a late starter. It balances nicely since I’m a late-to-bed-er also.
Do you adopt Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a prince and Dine like a Pauper?
Not typically. I understand it’s healthier but decades of dinner as the main meal is tough to reset. Side note: I’ll 100% eat breakfast like a king if someone else is cooking, though, it’s just kinda hard to motivate that early in the day. See answer to first question.
Do you have a sweet or savory tooth?
I’d say this runs 80/20. Except when it’s 20/80. Or the days when it’s 60/40, 40/60, or 50/50.
Unscientific survey: How many women have a single answer to this question? I’m just saying, there’s a lot of hormones at play and they mess with my taste buds.
Would you prefer a hot relaxing bath or a massage (remember, family friendly people!)?
In the end I like the idea of a bath more than the bath itself. It’s not soothing unless the water is hot then it cools too fast so I add more hot water then suddenly I’ve overheated and burst into a hard sweat. I prefer a massage.
My gratitude this week:
So I’d like to say quiet space but every time I think that Gracie hijacks my day. Last week was blown when she scarfed down some coffee grounds and ended up at the vet for induced vomiting. Yesterday was trashed when she got her dum-dum paws on some meloxicam (insert eye rolling emoji here) and ended up at the vet for fluids, meds, and a new kind of food. Now I’ve got to take her in tomorrow for repeat labs. Sooo…I guess we’ll say clean laundry. I’m grateful for clean laundry. That seems safe enough.

Does your vet have a frequent flyer program? If so, I’m guessing Gracie has enough points for a weekend in the country, maybe with a massage thrown in.

They recently opened a second location. Don’t wanna brag or anything but I’m fairly sure Gracie paid for an exam room or two over there.

I think she should have her name on one of those doors.

Don’t you love dogs. They do like a good vet bill.

You are so right about the sweet/savoury tooth! Hope Gracie is better and keeping her paws, nose and mouth out of where they shouldn’t be! Thanks for joining in again.

She’s decidedly rambunctious which is kind of how I know she isn’t terribly ill. The day that dog curls up in her bed and stops trying to steal things is the day I’ll know something’s really wrong.

Man, it’s almost as if Gracie has a death wish. Or she just likes to keep you on your toes. Or she’s an attention freak.

Attention freak feels true. My son is suggesting death wish and I told him I’m aiming for giving Gracie the best life possible so if she goes at least she knows she’s well loved.
