Share Your World 10/27/22

Yep, I’m a few days late for Share Your World but better late than never!

How organized are you? Do you plan ahead, take things as they come, or does it depend on the circumstances?

I’m pretty organized. I can hear BrightSide snorting from here because I can’t exactly say I manifest this in our physical household – ahem! we see you, clutter – but meal plans, shopping, appointments, travel, activities, blog posts, calendars…I’m pretty hardcore about that stuff. I should probably embroider I Live And Die By The Calendar on a throw pillow or something.

How many Christmas presents have you bought already?

None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I am forever in awe of people who head into October with any sort of holiday shopping done so if that’s you then kudos and would you mind sharing some of that energy with one of the less inspired people.

Do you prefer a family gathering for special occasions, or just you and your significant other?

Mostly family. Except sometimes not. So I guess it depends on my energy.

How many words do you think your pet understands?

Ah, let’s see. I’ll focus on Gracie since she gets the most blog time.

Out, outside, go, downstairs, “don’t eat the mulch”, bathroom, pee, tee-tee (shoutout, Linda 😂), “do you wanna/want to”, okay, walk, ride, Gracie, leash, collar, “call Gracie over there” (I swear, she starts trotting out of the kitchen before I even finish this one), “stop trolling”, bedroom, laundry room, kennel, crate, “back off”, stop (but only in the fiercest tone possible), no, “get off my counter”, “DON’T YOU DO IT”, “give it” or “drop it” (I don’t know if this depends on the person or the item, I just keep trying them both until she opens her mouth), “get in the house”, treat, biscuit, cheese, breakfast, dinner, “not yet”, sit, shake, “the kids are home/dad is home”, pretty girl, good, “Don’t drink from the cat water”.

Gracie also knows the sound of a particular alarm. Guess she’s pretty smart.
