I missed my writing time this morning. It’s only day two of this new push to regain creativity. One might argue this does not bode well.

I’ve never been somebody to listen to one’s arguments, though, so I vote we move it along.

I’m catching some of the U.S. vs. Iran men’s game in the World Cup and can I just say I’d love a dash of whatever these announcers have on tap. Seriously, who naturally has this sort of energy? Can people muster up this sort of liveliness on demand? I feel there’s more likely some kind of coffee or energy drink involved.

OH MY GOD THESE WHINY BABY MEN WITH THEIR WHINY BABY BODIES FLAILING ABOUT ON THE FIELD IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET A PENALTY CALLED INSIDE THE BOX. I CANNOT WITH THESE MEN.

I’m supposed to be making more progress on tree decorations but honestly my brain is muttering about naps and rest and I’m hard pressed to argue against it. Is there stuff to be done? Oh my, yes. Does my brain typically win these arguments? Yes, yes it does. Oh well.

And SCOOOOOOOORRRREEEEEEE. A great shot off a header pass from…well, that guy on the right wing who really put an incredible pass across the goal WITH HIS HEAD and I don’t know that one can emphasize enough how impressive a properly placed pass with the old noggin is.

And not for nothing but watching that scorer-guy take out the goalie after kicking the ball past him looks like every time I’ve powered through something to a win only to be quickly followed by a cataclysmic head on collision. Just saying.

Alright, I’m out of my allotted time which no doubt my non-soccer fans are grateful for. Happy Tuesday. May your day be free of cataclysmic collisions.
