Apologies in advance for any 2AM gross factor.
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Trash piles madly as snot drips from noses
Nights spent composing while throat aches and closes
Hacking up lungs as dogs snore in the night
Winter germs bringing their best to the fight
Y’all. Mask up. Everywhere. There is a lot of crud out there that you do not want.
Happy December. May the force be with you.

actually they never tie up brown paper packages with string. it makes it easier to drink from them on the way home…
may the force be with you too. and get well dammit

I slipped these lyrics into the caroler’s songbooks. Let’s see what happens. 😁

hang in there. I’m surrounded by a class or pre-k children who are virtual Petri dishes right now –

You know, I was just talking about how everyone said “oh, the first year of teaching is the worst. You catch all the germs, you’re sick all the time, but then you’ve built up immunity and you’re good.” I never did get to the good part. 😂
