Do you have a lot of friends or do you know a lot of people?
I’d say I know a lot of people; I have a small number of friends.
If you are at a party and know very few of the guests, do you mingle and introduce yourself, sit on the sidelines and people watch, or discreetly leave?
Wow, I’m really struggling to answer this question. Given my choice…well, given my choice I wouldn’t be at a party to begin with so that doesn’t work at all. The broadest based answer is b) sit on the sidelines and people watch. I’m saying that and thinking well, Laura, why on earth don’t you discreetly leave if you don’t love a party? And I don’t have an answer to that question but I’m sticking with people watching for this question here.
What is the best job you have ever had?
Let’s see…First place is teaching because I loved helping kids discover learning but it also brought ridiculous hours. Ben & Jerry’s came in second because who wouldn’t delight in handing out delicious ice cream.
Can you swim?
Yes. My lungs are crap now so I don’t know how great I’d be at distance but I won’t sink in the lake so that’s a win.
Gratitude:
The trees out back are starting to green up. I still enjoy watching the birds swoop back and forth but any day now I’ll wake up to a beautiful wall of green again.

I have a few close friends but know many and at a party I tend to find one or two I know and stick with them
