“History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.”
– Martin Luther King

“He who passively accepts evil,” King added, “is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.” This opinion stated by MLK, a blessing upon his memory, well reflect the judgement of the post WW2 Nuremberg war crimes trials which rejected the plea made by Nazis & Nazis sympathizers: “I was just following orders.”
Racism has zero connection with the attacks made by the liberal left by which they destroy Civil War statues of Confederate leaders and generals. This ignorance and shallow reactionary anarchism condemns the Southern States demand that the States entered by their choice into the Republic and Union of the States and that therefore the States could withdrawal from the Republic of that Union. Lincoln rejected Jeffersonian democracy which favored this idea of States Rights. His view of democracy limited the authority of the States of the Union to that on par with counties within any given State. A county within a State: just as it can not secede from the State so too and how much more so States once part of the Republic Union, they can not secede from the Union of the Republic.
Lincoln illegally ordered the invasion of Southern States based upon this flawed political premise which has no support, not even from Hamilton of the Founding Fathers. The Industrial Revolution with all to much haste had made slavery unprofitable. For example: anyone who has ever taken cotton seeds and separated those seeds from cotton know that this work – very labor intensive. A cotton gin can do this work that would take several hundred slaves to accomplish.
The Industrial revolution caused a massive population transfer from rural to urban centers. Today less than 5% of the general population works on farms. Prior to the Industrial revolution the vast majority of wealth came from farmland crop production. All the Aristocracy of Western Europe ruled over massive farms. Little if nothing separates a slave from a serf. The serf had to support his lord if the king called up his lord during times of war.
